Organisational psychology experts: science-led, business-driven, practical and insightful

All the consultants at Impactful Work have studied organisational psychology, the science of people at work. The workplace is our world. We are skilled in taking the best that science and research have to offer and applying it pragmatically and very practically in the 'real world' that is modern organisational life. We design custom-fit programs and processes that are high impact and long lasting. No academic solutions here, just proven methods backed by evidence and experience. Our aim is to enable people in organisations to grow and be self-sustaining in their development and increasingly effective in their work together.

Your partners in making an impact

Central to our success is our focus on listening and learning from our clients, to ensure we achieve the stated goals of any program or project we undertake. We bring creativity, positivity and energy to the problem at hand, and a commitment to collaborate and inspire where we can. We love partnering - we prefer to work with you, not for you., and we like to see out projects through, long after we’ve left the scene officially. Strong partnerships with clients last over many years, ensuring ongoing, sustainable, and impactful results.

The story behind our logo

Impactful Work’s logo encapsulates our approach to boosting team performance. Reviewing all the research and our extensive practical experience about what makes a team high performing, we identified three key drivers of performance:

Planning = the ‘what’
You need to be clear on what the team has to deliver and how this will be tracked

People = the ‘who’
You need the right mix of skills, attitudes, working relationships and leadership to harness the team’s collective potential

Process = the ‘how’
You need shared methods, norms and tools to enable you to work together efficiently and effectively as a team

Performance = the outcomes
You need to keep an eye on a range of signs/indicators/metrics that show if the team is delivering what’s required

We expertly support teams and their leaders to achieve more using this evidence-based approach for identifying team strengths and weaknesses. It forms the basis of our online Team Effectiveness Questionnaire which we use in team programs, often as a pre- and post-assessment to measure improvement.
